MATCH RECAP
2-2 Draw away

Injuries – Aaron Garcia suffered a potential hamstring strain last night. We’ll wait for a report from his Dr. but we’re hopeful that it wasn’t severe and he’ll be back in time for the US Open. Ocelot – I felt we were the better team last night despite not having three of our starters available to play. The first half felt pretty even with both teams creating dangerous opportunities but the second half we shut their midfield down only allowed long balls which were handled very well by our center backs. It was unfortunate to concede the way we did off an own goal and what we believe was a very soft call by the referee awarding them a PK early in the second half. Regardless we felt like the goal was coming for us as we spent about eighty percent of the second half in the opponents half which was something we really worked on this past week at training. Outside of the result we were able to give a few players off the bench some significant minutes including our Youth Academy standout James Brown III. He’s been improving each week and devoting more and more time to first team football as he looks to take a step out of youth football and into the next level. With the US Open coming in a few weeks and multiple NISA Nation matches needing to be rescheduled it’ll be extremely important that everyone including our reserves, are ready to step in at any given moment. ~Coach Nacho Man of the Match - DJ Wilson
