Temecula FC’s win streak snapped in 2-1 loss at home to Orange County FC

Temecula — Temecula FC saw its two-game win streak come to an end at Chaparral Stadium in Temecula on Saturday, as OCFC handed the hosts a 2-1 loss in the National Premier Soccer League.

In a Match that had huge playoff implications for both Temecula and Orange County the first half was very dull. Most of the play was in the midfield with neither side creating many opportunities as both looked comfortable to try and maintain possession. Outside of a few long distant efforts for both teams the first half was not what anyone expected and ended 0-0. The second half would prove to be a different story.

Orange County scored first through Daniel ten Bosch with a tap in at the far post after some physical play just inside the box in the 54 minute. Temecula would respond back with a well worked goal just 3 minutes later through Nate DeRosa. The two goals seemed to add a little fuel to an already fiery 2nd half. The game became a little stretched and both Temecula and Orange Country were now creating more chances.  Orange County would find the winner in the 84th minute when a cross found Cody Shelton who finished with a nice side volley to earn Orange County all 3 points.

Next up for Temecula FC is a trip to AS Los Angeles on Sunday June 16th while Orange County FC will face LA Galaxy in US Open Cup play on Wednesday June 12th.
